Brisbane Flashback

It’s not my first time in Brisbane. I’ve been before, twelve years ago. It was my first time in Australia. For 6 amazing weeks, my cousin Bertrand and I, both sixteen at the time, visited the country and our (large) down-under family. An Aussie cousin, Colin, took us on a roadtrip from Sydney to Brisbane. While I clearly remember of the roadtrip, sleeping in motels, stopping in Surfer’s Paradise and such adventures, my memory of Brisbane itself is a lot more fuzzy. So fuzzy in fact that for a few days, being in Brisbane again, I struggled to recognize anything. That’s until I went for a ride on the free ferry service on the Brisbane river. It looks like only three things struck me enough back then to stay with me those twelve years, hidden somewhere in my brain. Here they are:
